The Queen Ave project is one that takes on both print and digital forms. When designing the print version we looked at the properties of print design, and how to tell the story best with pacing and pairings of images and their proximity to one another. In the digital form we did the same but with the properties of the web.
When looking at the possibilities of the digital version of the story we found a way to keep the look and feel that the printed form gave, but take advantage of the digital space to create a more immersive experience. We settled on video and audio as the way to orient the viewer to the world of the fun wall. I feel the desktop viewport is the best way to experience this story, but am happy with the book, gallery, and other web viewport experiences.
